Barton Birthday weekend - Friday 27th February to Sunday 1st March 2009

Back to Past events

We try to go away every February to celebrate the start of SuperNova in 2003 - now six years old.

We stayed in the Harvey Centre; part of the Barton Camp facility near Winscombe. The centre has been recently refurbished and the facilities were fantastic. After arriving at 7:30 on Friday, there was time for supper before a few games before bed.

After breakfast on Saturday, it was off to Court Farm for the morning. After lunch we came back to Barton for wide games around the centre. Then it was a hockey, basket ball and football competition before dinner.

After dinner there were more party games before supper. Some might have thought it was a good idea to stay up until 3:00 in the morning two nights running - however those who did sleep looked much brighter than the rest in the morning.

After another cooked breakfast, we walked up to Crooks Peak. Then it was back for lunch and more wide games before cleaning the centre and returning to Bristol.
