Brockmead camp - Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th June 2009
What a scorcher! A great walk on Saturday across Dundry was useful practice for those doing their D of E next month and showed that they have the skill and ability to complete their assessed hike with little problem.
Once on site we made light work of setting up camp and began getting wood ready for the fire. Tom made spaghetti bolognaise for dinner and next time he has said he won't forget to buy the spaghetti!
After dinner we had a relaxing night around the fire.
In the morning we mucked about, packed up the camp and started the BBQ for lunch. After burgers and kebabs it was time for home. For once we had dry kit at the end of a camp - luxury!
