D of E Expedition in the Black Mountains - Friday 17th to 19th July 2009
Two groups put in another great performance on their first assessed Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze practice expeditions. The teams walked through the Usk Valley near Crickhowell over two days. Their routes took them to the Talybont Reservoir, the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal and Sugar Loaf mountain.
The assessor was impressed by their enthusiasm, determination and fitness - although the occasional bearing would have helped both groups!
