Wild camp - Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th October 2010
Once again we left Bristol in the rain and despite a few breaks in the weather on the journey, it was still raining when we started walking. Bruce led the group with military precision. After a few hours Wattsy and Rach caught up with the group and all made it to Waun Fach (the highest point in the Black Mountains).
Shortly after, we found a flat spot amongst some Christmas trees and set up camp. After dinner, there was time for relaxing before bed.
It has to be said it was quite cold during the night! The tents were frozen, the water was frozen, the Explorers were frozen and the leaders - well they were ok actually! No-one else quite had Wattsy's enthusiasm for the sun rise and after breakfast we packed up before walking back to the cars in fabulous Welsh sunshine!
