— Bristol South Gang Show 2023 — “The Greatest Show”
And was it the greatest show, oh, was it YEAH!
Looking back at last years article about Gang Show 2022 deliberately to ensure we don’t use the same superlatives to describe a most excellent venture, however, it is hard to think of bigger, better and more meaningful ways to say a really huge ‘WELL DONE & THANK YOU’ to all those involved in Gang Show 2023, truly it was ‘The Greatest Show’!
Being mindful not to leave anyone out, here goes on the thanks list – with apologies to the accidentally omitted.
Producers, Choreography, Music, including the superlative ‘Den Dwellers Band’ – Bananas guys, that’s all I will say! The incomparable ‘Chicken Supremes Backing Vocals. Stage Management and backstage crew, ditto Scenery and sound and lighting [with thanks again to Adrian Cottle]. Then we come on to – Costumes, hair, makeup, dressers, chaperones and those who did last minute but vital repairs.
Front of house, including, Stewards, Ticket sales, Photos, Designers, DVD, not forgetting Refreshments and Raffle – with special appreciation to those who must have poured hundreds of cups of tea to keep our audiences refreshed.
To those who sponsored the show in cash or kind, Dulex, Hartcliffe Community Centre, 148th Scout Group and of course the venue, Bedminster Down School, we could not have done this without you.
Our special guests, Mayoral, our Regional and County Commissioners, County Chairman, District Presidents and fellow performers from Gloucester, Exeter and other Gang Shows, we thank you for coming. Plus to all those on the District Executive that let us ‘run with our dream’.
Saving the biggest thanks to last – the audience, all 732 of you, thanks and hope you had a good time, tell your friends about next year! And also for supporting our charity collection to the tune of £392.10 magnificent and thanks again.
