Bristol South District AGM 2025

You will have seen from a previous post that the District AGM will take place on Tuesday 15th July 2025 at the 82nd Bristol Scout HQ. At the meeting 3 of the current Trustees, Steve Williams (Chair), Tony Rees (Treasurer), and Cathy Harding (Trustee), will be standing down from the Board of Trustees.

We therefore will have a number of vacancies to fill and if you, or you know of someone, who would like to be considered for one of the roles, we would very much like to invite you to register your interest or enquire to find out more information about any of the roles, the Board of Trustees (BOT) meet about 5 or 6 times a year and the meetings last about 2 hours.

The role of the BOT just like with any Scout Group is vital for the safe operation of the District [including the ESUs] and a way of influencing and supporting the District Lead Volunteer (DLV) Management Team. Being a member of the DBOT does not encroach on much of your time but as already stated helps to ensure compliance, safety, and financial responsibilities are well managed in ensuring the longevity of Scouting in Bristol South District.
