‘Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls’ was the greeting from Dave, one of the producers.’ Welcome to the third Bristol South District Gang Show’.
‘The Gang’ had really worked hard to deliver a wonderful show, there are some photos in the ‘Gallery’ section of this website. I’m not going to give you a full recollection of the show, the ‘act list’ below will give a reminder of an excellent evenings entertainment for those who attended, those of you who didn’t well you missed something pretty special, maybe come next year……. We were pleased to welcome our County Commissioner Graham and Chairman Neil, Fred our Creative Activities Adviser and contingents from both the Exeter and Gloucester Gang Shows, great to see you along with everyone else, joining in and sharing the atmosphere.

There were new faces in ‘The Gang’ this year, always encouraging, with Blenheim, 81st, 107th, 145th, 255th, 256th and Windmill Hill scout groups, Pegasus, Spinnaker and Supernova explorer units and Gurt Lush Scout Network along with members of the district team. Those that acted, danced and sang stole the limelight, however, we cannot forget, the Den Dwellers band, Chicken Supreme singers, the backstage crew, dressers/makeup, lights/sound and anything electrical and those ‘front of house’ who all contributed to this massive team effort. Sorry, if anyone has been left out.
Oh, and if I had to pick a favourite moment, all I will say is ‘Get into a dustbin and dance’!
So as the curtain came down for another year, just time to say the producers Cath, Dave and Sue are now having a well earned rests in darkened rooms, however, I’m sure they will be back ‘next year’. Do you fancy a role in the next production? Cast, Band, Staging, Backing vocals, Front of House, Lighting/Sound, Costumes/Hair and Make Up / Dressers, there is a role for all.
A selection of photographs can be found in the ‘Gallery’ section of this website, ‘District Gang Show 2020’ – Enjoy.
