District Celebration Event – 28 Oct 2019

Over 100 adults members of the district, leaders, executive members, commissioners and other invited guests attended the first Bristol South District Celebration Event. An informal gathering with old friends and make new ones, Scott our District Commissioner looked back over the past few years charting the successes of groups and the district, with guest presenters awarding a number of ‘thank you’ certificates and other informal awards to those that had been nominated by their fellow district members and parents for recognition, in the presence of our County Commissioner Graham.

Speeches were kept to a mimium so as to allow maximim time to ‘catch up’ and enjoy the huge buffet (somebody said it would only be nibbles), something we don’t get much time to do at many meetings where ‘skills for life’ is the main aim for the benefit of the young people members.
