District AGM 2021

In view of the continued uncertainty regarding the acceptability and desirability of larger scale adult member only meetings the District Board of Trustees reluctantly took the decision that for the second year the AGM would be conducted via Zoom. So at 7.30pm on Friday 30th July 2021 the district again convened, online. There were nearly 30* attendees including Nigel Ball representing the County Commissioner. 6 apologies for absence were recorded, which will be detailed in the draft minutes when published.

*Although numbers ‘attending’ varied periodically due to wi-fi connections etc, the meeting was monitored to ensure it remained quorate for its entire duration.

To maintain a ‘sense of occasion’ virtual attendees were invited to wear uniform, neckerchiefs, awards etc and to upload their own Scouting themed background image. The AGM was recorded to assist with the production of the minutes, however, it will not be broadcast or uploaded to social media.

Minutes of the 2020 AGM for approval under item 3 on agenda was accepted as an accurate record of the 2020 AGM.

2021 Trustees Annual Report* Our DC Paul and Chairman Steve presented the report to the meeting.

2020-2021 Bristol South Scout District Accounts * Tony from the finance sub-committee presented the accounts for the year which had been previously accepted by the Board of Trustees

*After the AGM these reports were uploaded to The Charity Commission portal.
